I am a 35 Year old African American author seeking representation. By nature and trade I'm a techno-junkie guy, but my heart lies in Fantasy. I have always been enchanted by writing and immense stories, I only recently created enough to call myself an “author”.
My initial interests in genre fiction come from a combination of my ‘Trekkie’ siblings and my attachment to pen and paper Roleplaying. I have always had a fascination with people and translating them into fictional characters. While I love the sprawling worlds of the fantasy greats, I see the most potential in developing ‘real’ people in fantastic worlds.
All of my stories share a common theme; the characters stand front and center highlighting diversity. Fantasy has a bad habit of shackling itself to old ways because of the greatness of its predecessors. I seek to challenge myself as an author and challenge the conventions of fantasy (and fiction) in the best interests of making it accessible to all walks of life.
Dimanagul / TWO DESTROYERS is a project I began on 09/22/2011, one aiming to create a unique take on Adventure Fantasy.
I have a blog Memories of a Dimanagul (Dimanagul.com), there I write weekly articles about writing and general musings on Wednesday and a short story of varying genres every Friday.
